Summary:
We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic General Manager- Operations to provide executive leadership and oversight for all plant operations. This pivotal role encompasses the development and implementation of robust processes and systems, management of production, quality assurance, maintenance protocols, logistics coordination, and strategic workforce planning. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing activities.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, safety compliance, quality metrics, and team performance.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for end-to-end manufacturing operations, including plastic molding, printing, packaging, and die-cutting processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and team leaders to cultivate a high-performing and cohesive operations team.
- Develop and manage operational budgets and forecasts, and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management, presenting findings in timely cost and quality review meetings.
- Formulate and execute operational strategies focused on enhancing efficiency, optimizing productivity, and achieving cost reductions.
- Oversee daily production schedules, quality control standards, and maintenance activities to guarantee timely product delivery and operational excellence.
- Collaborate effectively with procurement, quality assurance, and logistics departments to ensure a seamless and integrated supply chain and production workflow.
- Champion and enforce strict adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations and protocols.
- Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging methodologies such as lean manufacturing and Six Sigma to drive operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing cross-functional teams and large-scale manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrated expertise within the insulation manufacturing domain is highly desirable.
- Exceptional problem-solving, strategic leadership, and decisive decision-making capabilities.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with substantial experience in budget planning and cost control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a closely related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Preferred Attributes:
- Familiarity with ISO quality management standards and lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Experience in the greenfield development and implementation of manufacturing systems and processes, with a focus on lean manufacturing principles.
