The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the sales team, developing and executing strategic sales plans, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a dynamic and results-oriented leader with a deep understanding of the travel industry and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with a strong ability to build and maintain client relationships
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets and expand the customer base
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales goals
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing regular reports to senior management
- Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Proactively reach out to potential high-value clients through various channels such as phone calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings.
- Handle high-level negotiations and close deals with significant clients and partners.
Product and Market Expertise:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest travel trends, destination information, and industry developments
- Ensure the sales team is knowledgeable about the full range of travel products and services offered, including new hotels, airlines, and travel experiences.
- Provide training and support to the sales team to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills.
Operational Efficiency:
- Collaborate with various departments, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
- Implement and maintain efficient sales processes and use CRM tools to manage client interactions and sales activities effectively.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of sales proposals, contracts, and itineraries.
Customer Experience and Feedback:
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement in sales processes and service delivery
- Address and resolve client issues and complaints promptly and professionally
- Ensure that personalized travel itineraries meet client preferences, including destinations, activities, and travel dates.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably within the travel industry
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with high-value client management and B2B sales.
- Established network within the travel and tourism industry.
- Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
- 7 – 10 years in sales, with at least 4 years in a senior or managerial role within the travel industry
