Factory Operations Head / General Manager – Manufacturing

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized Factory Operations Head to lead the end-to-end setup and management of a new manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for building systems from the ground up and managing all functions, including Production, Supply Chain, R&D, QC, HR, and Finance.

Key Responsibilities

Phase 1: Setup & Readiness (Months 1–4)

• Induction: Based in Mumbai HQ to master company processes and product lines.
• Infrastructure: Coordinate construction, machinery installation, and factory layout.
• Systems: Document SOPs and workflows for every department before go-live.
• Hiring: Recruit the core leadership team (Production, QC, HR, Accounts, etc.).

Phase 2: Operational Leadership

• Production & Quality: Oversee daily manufacturing, implement lean practices, and ensure strict QC/QA compliance.
• Supply Chain: Manage procurement, vendor negotiations, inventory (Stores), and outbound logistics.
• R&D: Drive product innovation and process improvements.
• Administration: Oversee factory-level budgeting, cost control, HR compliance, and labor relations.
• Governance: Ensure 100% adherence to safety norms, environmental guidelines, and statutory labor laws.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven track record in manufacturing leadership; experience setting up “greenfield” projects is highly preferred.
• Skills: Strong system-building capabilities, operational excellence, and financial acumen.
• Leadership: Ability to manage diverse department heads and build a high-performance culture.
• Adaptability: Willingness to be based in Mumbai for the initial induction phase.
