General Manager – IoT Delivery

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IoT Delivery professional to lead large-scale IoT implementation and deployment programs for global clients.

The role involves managing complex integrations across IoT devices, gateways, sensors, data acquisition systems, onboard machinery, analytics platforms, and real-time data telemetry. The successful candidate will drive cross-functional coordination, ensure timely project delivery, maintain quality standards, and manage customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

A key focus of the role will be accelerating deployments and reducing the go-live cycle for remote data telemetry solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of large-scale IoT deployment, installation, and commissioning programs across multiple locations and global customers.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, quality, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with business and customer objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including IoT Engineering, Platform Development, Data Analytics, and Customer Success.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders such as hardware vendors, system integrators, operators, and technology partners.
  • Develop detailed project plans, deployment schedules, milestone trackers, dashboards, and progress reports.
  • Ensure IoT device provisioning, configuration, testing, commissioning, and platform integration are completed within defined SLAs.
  • Oversee integration of sensors, gateways, onboard equipment, and real-time data telemetry systems.
  • Conduct project governance and review meetings with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project risks, change requests, technical challenges, and operational issues.
  • Track and report key program metrics including deployment velocity, system uptime, data accuracy, and performance analytics delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization of IoT implementation and delivery processes.
  • Mentor and guide project managers, coordinators, engineers, and other team members involved in program delivery.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of the IoT ecosystem, including devices, sensors, gateways, cloud platforms, and data acquisition systems.
  • Hands-on understanding of communication and industrial protocols such as:
    • MQTT
    • Modbus
    • RTU
    • TCP/IP
    • Profibus
    • Profinet
    • NMEA
    • Proprietary communication protocols
  • Strong experience managing large, multi-stream and cross-functional technology projects.
  • Excellent project and program management capabilities.
  • Strong stakeholder, customer, and vendor management skills.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Zoho Projects or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in dynamic, global, and technically complex environments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Marine, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of overall professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in program management involving large-scale:
    • IoT implementations
    • Industrial Automation projects
    • Maritime Digitalization projects
  • Experience managing complex technology deployment and integration programs.
  • Prior exposure to Maritime, Offshore, Logistics, Industrial, or other asset-intensive industries will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical understanding of IoT systems with senior-level program management and customer-facing capabilities. The role requires someone capable of managing complex global implementations, coordinating multiple technical stakeholders, and driving projects toward faster and successful go-live.
