Assistant Manager – Marketing & Sales

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager for Marketing and Sales to handle switchgear equipment for the Railway and Power segments. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business development, formulating budget plans, and executing winning strategies for pan-India growth. You must possess sound techno-commercial knowledge and be capable of handling large contracts independently while building strong relationships with key decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare bids, negotiate terms where required, and successfully convert bids into orders.
  • Interact effectively with decision-making levels at customer organizations.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers.
  • Drive business development for new products and secure necessary approvals from technical authorities.
  • Map the industry environment, analyze competitor strengths and weaknesses, and devise winning sales strategies.
  • Formulate order intake and revenue budget plans, and implement them to achieve pan-India growth for the product portfolio.
  • Handle large contracts independently, ensuring all techno-commercial aspects are meticulously managed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in handling switchgear equipment specifically for the Railway or Power segments.
  • Strong understanding of techno-commercial aspects related to switchgear sales and marketing.
  • Proven ability to independently manage and close large contracts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a demonstrated track record of interacting with senior decision-makers.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to map industry trends and formulate effective business development and revenue plans.
