We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regulatory Documentation Specialist to join our Fragrances and Aroma Ingredients team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and documentation, specifically within the fragrance industry. You will be responsible for accessing and delivering vital regulatory documents, working independently to answer related queries, and providing efficient solutions to support the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Access and manage regulatory documentation, including Safety Data Sheets, IFRA allergen reports, CLP, EU GHS, and non-animal testing reports for aroma ingredients and their applications.
- Provide accurate and timely information to internal stakeholders regarding regulatory requirements, updates, and changes.
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of IFRA, EU, and CLP regulations, as well as emerging regulatory trends in the fragrance industry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure complete compliance with regulatory requirements for fragrance products.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of fragrance safety assessments, including skin irritation and sensitization testing.
- Independently answer queries related to regulatory documentation and compliance, providing practical solutions to support the business.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and databases of regulatory documentation and compliance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure all regulatory requirements are consistently met.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
- 4 to 7 years of professional experience in regulatory affairs, specifically in the fragrance industry.
- Deep knowledge of International Fragrance Association guidelines and regulations.
- Strong understanding of EU Global Harmonization System and Classification, Labeling, and Packaging regulations.
- Knowledge of non-animal testing methods and regulations, as well as basic laws governing fragrances and aroma ingredients, including REACH and biocides directives.
- Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets and allergen labeling compliance.
- Experience with electronic databases and document management systems, including SDS databases and online platforms for fragrance safety assessments.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Drive.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ability to work effectively in a computer-based working environment, both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
