Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop scalable, cloud-based applications using microservices architecture. This role is pivotal in shaping our Wealth Management product, ensuring alignment between technology and business objectives. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Design and develop secure, scalable cloud-based applications using AWS, Docker, and microservices architecture.
2. Collaborate with product managers to translate business needs into high-level software designs and application features.
3. Build robust REST APIs and define appropriate technology stacks, including SQL/NoSQL choices, for microservice domains.
4. Design and implement efficient relational database schemas using Liquibase for data persistence.
5. Develop high-performance front-end interfaces with ReactJS, and write reusable, testable code in NodeJS, Python, and ReactJS.
6. Lead CI/CD integration using Bitbucket Pipelines and DevOps practices for continuous delivery and deployment.
7. Promote engineering best practices including pair programming, code reviews, unit testing, and documentation.
8. Operate within Scrum teams, contributing to agile ceremonies and fostering domain-driven design with high cohesion and low coupling.
9. Champion an AI-first development approach by integrating AI tools and LLM-powered capabilities into the software development lifecycle, product features, and engineering workflows.
10. Leverage Claude Code and Anthropic’s Claude API (or equivalent AI coding assistants) to accelerate development velocity, automate repetitive coding tasks, perform AI-assisted code reviews, and generate high-quality boilerplate and test code.
11. Mentor the engineering team on responsible and effective use of AI pair-programming tools, prompt engineering best practices, and AI-augmented testing strategies.

Desired Qualifications

1. B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
2. Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience in cloud environments, with a strong background in AWS, Docker, and microservices.
3. Expertise in NodeJS and front-end development with ReactJS; Python is a plus.
4. Proven experience with SQL, Redis, and configuration management tools such as Ansible. Prior experience with MySQL and/or Athena is preferred.
5. Strong understanding of DevOps principles and hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, specifically Bitbucket Pipelines.
6. Demonstrable experience designing and implementing microservices with a solid understanding of domain-driven design, cohesion, and coupling.
7. Strong unit testing skills and familiarity with testing frameworks.
8. Demonstrated hands-on experience with an AI-first development approach, including AI coding assistants, LLM APIs, or generative AI tools to accelerate engineering delivery and product innovation.
9. Proficiency with Claude Code (Anthropic’s agentic CLI coding tool) or equivalent AI-powered development environments (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.) for daily development tasks, code generation, refactoring, and debugging.
10. Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and integrating LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, etc.) into production-grade applications is a strong plus.
