Steel Structural Designer

Job Description:

1. Analysis and Design of simple to complex Steel Structures (PEB) by using Auto CAD and STAAD Pro Programs.
2. Enhance existing computerized design and drafting applications to improve Productivity and cycle time.
3. Leading group of design engineers in carrying out the design and detailing of projects during the quote & job stage.
4. Site visits to analyze and propose solutions for field problems and erection errors. Training engineers to achieve optimum results.
5. Responsible for ensuring proper planning of shop drawing release to workshop, ensure that adequate resources are mobilized for detailing, solve detailing queries, monitor their progress and provide administrative support, as required.

Qualities Required:

1. Excellent written and verbal communications
2. Knowledge of Steel Building components and its manufacturing process
3. Proven successful experience as a Designer in Steel Building and heavy structure
4. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, juniors, other departments, sales teams, management, customers.
5. Regular relationship development and feedback with team of manufacturing, Architects, Projects Engineers, Designers and customers.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills
7. Qualification:M. tech in Civil/Mech.
