We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Engineer specializing in valve systems. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support, installation, maintenance, and repair services for a range of valve products, ensuring that they operate efficiently and meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and technical expertise, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues on-site and remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Valve Installation & Commissioning
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and start-up of valve systems and related equipment at customer sites.
- Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, safety protocols, and customer requirements.
- Perform initial testing and troubleshooting to verify operational performance.
- Maintenance & Repair
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of valve systems.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues related to valve performance.
- Perform repairs and replacements of components as needed, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
- Customer Support & Training
- Provide on-site technical support and expert advice to customers regarding valve system performance, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Train customers on the proper operation, maintenance, and care of valve systems.
- Offer solutions to improve system efficiency and reliability based on customer needs and feedback.
- Technical Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate service records, including service reports, inspection logs, and maintenance schedules.
- Document service activities, issues encountered, and the resolutions provided.
- Create and submit detailed reports for customers, management, and other stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement & Feedback
- Provide feedback to the engineering team regarding product performance, reliability, and potential design improvements.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date with new technologies, valve products, and industry standards.
- Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, and company policies during service activities.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
- Comply with environmental and quality regulations in all service operations.
Qualifications
- Education
- A Bachelor’s or diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience
- Proven experience in the maintenance, installation, and servicing of valves and valve systems atleast 3 years ++.
- Experience in a field service or technical support role, ideally within industries such as oil & gas, water treatment, power generation, or industrial manufacturing.
- Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of valve operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel frequently to customer sites.
- Certifications (optional but preferred)
- Relevant certifications in valve systems or maintenance
