Financial Data Analyst / Research Associate

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Data Analyst to collect, validate, standardize, and analyze financial estimates and market data. The role involves working closely with research, product, and technology teams to deliver accurate, high-quality consensus data.

Key Responsibilities

Consensus Data Management

• Maintain and update consensus estimates across financial statements and KPIs.
• Standardize broker estimates and track earnings releases, revisions, and guidance.
• Ensure timely updates during reporting cycles and maintain historical databases.
• Monitor estimate dispersion and analyst coverage.

Financial Analysis

• Analyze financial statements (GAAP/IFRS) and track quarterly earnings.
• Reconcile reported results vs. consensus expectations.
• Support earnings calendars, dashboards, and event-based updates (M&A, restructuring, etc.).

Data Quality & Validation

• Perform data checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Identify anomalies and collaborate with QA/tech teams to improve validation processes.
• Maintain documentation of methodologies and workflows.

Modelling & Process Improvement

• Support financial modelling and KPI standardization.
• Contribute to sector-specific models and scalable frameworks.
• Identify automation opportunities and improve workflows (Excel/VBA/Python preferred).

Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel (lookups, pivots, modelling).
• Strong understanding of financial statements and datasets.
• Familiarity with financial databases; basic SQL is a plus.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• CFA (Level II/III or Charter holder) preferred.
• 1–5 years of experience in financial data, modelling, or analysis.
