Business Development Group Head

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Sales Group Head to significantly grow and scale company revenue to the next level. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting a robust sales strategy, building a high-performing team of Account Executives and Sales professionals across various industry sectors, and spearheading complex, high-value deals. This role is ideal for a candidate excited by selling into new markets, negotiating complex deals, and fiercely competing in head-to-head opportunities.

Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership:
  • Own and define all plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s ambitious sales goals.
  • Architect a sales strategy and build out a team of Account Executives and sales professionals across various sectors.
Planning & Reporting:
  • Assist in the development of the comprehensive annual sales plan.
  • Prepare accurate forecasts and KPI reporting for sales leaders, the CRO, and upper management to inform organizational planning, financial forecasting, budget setting, and strategic initiatives.
Business Development & Growth:
  • Establish and execute a robust “land and expand” process, including the funnel for manual top-down outreach, client onboarding, activation, and account expansion.
  • Personally evangelize the product and be directly involved in closing the company’s largest and most strategic deals.
  • Take the lead on Lead Generation Strategy and its full-scale implementation.
  • Focus on the effective conversion of leads into profitable business.
Collaboration & Partnership:
  • Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with key internal teams, including Execution, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Establish and foster strong, enduring partnerships and relationships with key customers both externally and internally.
  • Determine the inbound lead requirements necessary to meet sales objectives.
Performance Management:
  • Provide full visibility and transparency into the sales pipeline at every stage of development.
  • Conduct Online/Offline Meetings Pan India as required to drive business.
Requirements:
  • MBA or Civil Engineering degree combined with significant sales experience.
  • Proven Sales Experience within the GIS, Railway, Road, or Water sectors is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; must be highly presentable and confident.
  • Exceptional Strategic Thinking and Planning Skills to effectively implement complex sales plans.
  • Strong ability to forecast sales goals based on analytical data.
  • Proven capability to coach, mentor, and motivate salespeople and effectively delegate responsibilities.
  • Strength in problem-solving, issue-resolution, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a deadline-driven work environment.
