Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer to join our Data Science Team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications using Office JS, REST APIs, JavaScript, and TypeScript. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build efficient software solutions, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance for our financial data products.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project goals.
• Design high-level and low-level software architecture.
• Develop scalable and maintainable web applications using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain Office Add-ins using Office JS for Excel, Word, and other Office applications.
• Optimize database systems and API interactions for performance and scalability.
• Conduct testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and stability.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and feature enhancements.
• Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies.
• Document software functionality, architecture, and design for future maintenance and enhancements.
• Work on artificial intelligence and machine learning integration projects as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 4 years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Office JS and Office Add-ins development.
• Proven experience in designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and Snowflake.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong adaptability to learn new technologies and industry trends.
• Interest or experience in AI and ML, including Generative AI, is highly desirable.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.
• Familiarity with version control using Git, containerization using Docker, and CI/CD pipelines is a strong plus.
