We are looking for a Production Planning Engineer / Executive responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating production activities to ensure timely delivery and optimal resource utilization. The candidate must have strong analytical skills, excellent knowledge of Excel, and solid theoretical understanding of production planning concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts and orders
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse and production teams to ensure material availability
- Monitor production schedules and adjust plans to avoid delays
- Optimize machine utilization and manpower allocation
- Track production performance and prepare MIS reports
- Maintain production planning data in Excel and ERP systems
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety norms
- Identify bottlenecks and suggest process improvements
- Maintain inventory control and minimize wastage
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Production Planning and Control concepts
- Good theoretical understanding of manufacturing processes
- Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis
- Ability to prepare production schedules and capacity planning
- Good coordination and communication skills
- Knowledge of ERP systems is preferred
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in Perfume, Cosmetics, Paint or Chemical manufacturing
- Understanding of batch production processes
- Detail oriented with strong analytical mindset
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
